This Saturday is dedicated to crafting. It is not for the weak at heart, it is for the strong and the brazen. It is for those who are willing to accept failure (and, it's even there for those who don't accept failure, it just won't end as well as those who do accept it). And with crafting comes the problem of determining which craft you want to do.
With the (glorious) invention of Pinterest, it's not so much a problem. But when you've pinned all the pins, done all the crafts, and what something new and creative? What do you do? Well, I really don't know. But, somehow I manage to come up with an artsy enough idea that it's worth trying.
On Saturday, I will be making a craft that involves words, because: craft + words = best. thing. ever. And it's not quite as much fun to use your own words when you can "legally" steal someone else's. So, therefore, my week has been sent gleaning the internet of short, catchy, inspirational, motivational quotes that make me squeal with delight.
Some of them include:
“No one is too old for fairytales.” - Unknown
“Kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” - Mark Twain
“Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground.” - Teddy Roosevelt
“It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine.” - Eeyore
“The earth has music for those who listen.” - William Shakespeare
“Have courage and be kind.” - Cinderella
“A diamond is a chunk of coal that did well under pressure.” - Henry Kissinger
"Better a life full of childish dreams than a dreamless life." - Unknown
Who doesn't love a good quote (especially those quotes thrown in there for all the Disnerds of the world)? I know that I am especially fond of the power that other people's words can have, just as much as I appreciate the power that my own words can have...when I actually sit down and make time to write. And by write, I mean scroll through Facebook and Pinterest before I get bored and decide that maybe it's a good idea to put words on paper.
But, nah.
All the good ideas (including good quotes) can be found somewhere on the internet. You've just gotta look for 'em.
