Where Two Hearts Meet is a ridiculously adorable love story.
Set in the romantic tourist destination of Prince Edward Island, Canada, this book takes you along a soft ocean walk, your feet in the pebbly sand and the chilly wind off the cold water, it’ll hike you up a mountain with a special person who claims a special place in your heart, and (perhaps best of all) it’ll feed you the yummiest food in all of the island.
Caden Holt, executive chef at her best friend’s Bed & Breakfast (the Red Door Inn, which does actually have a red door), is the main character of this novel. Expertly written by author Liz Johnson, you actually care about the characters and you’re sat to leave them behind at the end of the book. You cry when they cry, laugh when they laugh, mourn when they mourn, jump when they jump, and probably best of all, you love when the love.
Three hundred and seventy-three pages isn’t enough with the sweet, caring Caden Holt and the mysterious hunk that randomly appears at Caden’s kitchen door when early summer day. Adam Jacobs, a journalist on a forced sabbatical to “get his head in a better place” and to find just the right story that’ll give him a new birth into life as a human and also life as a journalist.
Liz Johnson takes her characters through a series of events, highs and lows, to strengthen them and to also break them a little bit (but, eventually, breaking them fixes them). And of course, you couldn’t do that without a little bit of sarcasm (which is served in a mighty heap) and a lotta bit of love.
Where Two Hearts Meet is a book you definitely want on your “To Read” pile.
